At the Paper Planes Project, our mission is to bridge the gap in college preparation resources for underrepresented communities, especially first-generation college students. We are also committed to addressing the prevalent mental health crisis in academically rigorous high schools.

We connect our peers.
By connecting high school underclassmen with experienced mentors, we provide free college and high school counseling, empowering students to make informed decisions, discover their passions, and overcome challenges - all of this for free.

We support.
We believe in more than just academic support, but also realize that high school can be mentally and socially challenging as well. We want to help mentees manage their stress and time through our personal mentorship program, because a plane can only fly if it is built with care and support.

More than just college guidance
We believe college guidance should cover more than just test scores and extracurriculars. We want to make it more supportive, by offering personal guidance through a mentorship system that feels more like an older sibling than a complete stranger.
We offer a comprehensive package of different resources - like tutoring and an opportunities database - to make sure our mentees are ready to navigate high school and find their own authentic self.
